Refurbished Welding Automation Equipment

We understand the importance of retaining high-quality welding equipment and how crucial it is to keep your business moving. However, we also understand how costly this can be. Buying a new welding rotator or manipulator isn’t always a viable option, which is why Redrock offers an extensive refurbishment service to give your equipment a new lease of life.

Not only this, we sell a range of used equipment that’s been extensively refurbished and reconditioned to allow you to take advantage of top-quality welding equipment at a discounted price.

The Welding Equipment Refurbishment Process

Our welding technicians take great care in ensuring your equipment is refurbished to the highest industry standards. Whether you have a welding rotator or a positioner that requires refurbishment, our expert team’s process ensures care and precision.

By following this comprehensive refurbishment process, Redrock Automation ensures that welding automation equipment, including heavy-duty, large-scale machinery like welding rotators and positioners, is restored to optimal condition, providing reliable performance and extended lifespan for customers.

  • Initial Assessment:
Our refurbishment process begins with a quick examination of your equipment to make sure it’s functional. This includes testing for basic functionality to distinguish any immediate issues.
  • Electrical Components Inspection:
Next, electrical components are carefully inspected for signs of wear and tear, damage or malfunction. Our team will identify any components that require repair or replacement for further action.
  • Dismantling and Preparation:
The equipment is then dismantled to prepare it for the refurbishment process. This involves stripping back the paintwork to its original metal base to ensure a clean surface for refurbishment.
  • Evaluation and Replacement of Worn Parts:
Wear parts, including bearings, piping, seals and brake coils, are removed for further evaluation. Any parts showing any sign of wear or damage are replaced with new or refurbished components.
  • Surface Preparation and Painting:
The surface of the equipment is prepared for painting by cleaning and sanding as needed. A primer coat is applied to protect the metal surface, followed by painting in your chosen RAL colour.
  • Assembly and Refitting:
With new or refurbished parts sourced or in place, our team will pull these together to assemble and refit your welding equipment.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance:
The process doesn’t stop there – now, our qualified engineers will complete power, load, weld or function tests as required to ensure that your refurbished equipment meets quality and performance standards. This rigorous testing process helps us to identify any remaining issues and ensures that the equipment functions as intended for future use.
  • Client Approval:
Photos and videos of the refurbished equipment are prepared for your approval prior to its dispatch. This allows you to review the refurbishment work and ensure that it meets your expectations before the equipment leaves our facility.

Refurbishment FAQs

How long does welding equipment refurbishment take?

Our team of qualified engineers treats each piece of equipment as a unique case, so the refurbishment time of each machine can vary. Please contact our team for more information on our refurbishment lead times.

Rest assured, opting for equipment refurbishment from Redrock will generally ensure faster lead times than buying new.

Do you offer a warranty on your equipment refurbishment services?

Each piece of refurbished equipment leaves Redrock’s team with a three month parts-only warranty. We don’t expect anything to go wrong, but we’ll be here if you need us.

What’s the difference between equipment repair and refurbishment?

Our team of engineers is equipped to provide both repair or refurbishment services, depending on your bespoke needs. Generally, repairs are more reactive and can provide a short-term solution or fix for your equipment. Refurbishment, on the other hand, can offer a way to extend the life of your equipment even further, by focusing on a more complete overhaul.
